Acer 'Japanese Sunrise' is a captivating addition to any garden, celebrated for its stunning foliage and striking bark. In spring, the tree bursts forth with small, bright green leaves that create a fresh and lively canopy. As the seasons progress into fall, these leaves transform into a radiant yellow, adding a vibrant splash of color to the landscape.
The most striking feature of 'Japanese Sunrise' is undoubtedly its bark. On one side of the tree, the bark displays a remarkable yellow to orange hue, while the opposite side bears shades of orange to coral red. With a graceful, upright shape, 'Japanese Sunrise' typically reaches heights of 10 to 12 feet, making it an ideal choice for small gardens or as a focal point in larger landscapes.

Care
Sun Needs:
Full sun/part shade. For all Japanese Maples it’s important to think about light exposure: Too much light can damage delicate leaves. Too little light, and some of the more colorful varieties will take on an attractive greenish tone, but not the brilliant fall colors. For best color, most maples need a location with part day's sun or at least high light.
Soil/Water Needs:
Moist, organically rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Prefers consistent moisture: Mulch will help retain moisture. Don't let soil dry out, nor become waterlogged.
