Hot Wings is an upright, spreading maple with brilliant, bright red samaras (helicopter seed pods) that form in clusters after the small yellow flowers in spring and summer. Leaves emerge green in spring, turning dramatic yellow/gold/red in fall. A standard size and beautiful specimen tree. Fast growing, heat, drought and alkaline soil tolerant.
