Maintenance:	Remove dead, damaged or diseased limbs in spring. March is good time to prune for shape.

Soil/Water Needs:	All soil types, including poor quality. Well-draining is a must to avoid root rot. Prefers slightly acid over alkaline. Avoid very rich soil, as this will produce more foliage than flowers. Water deeply, regularly in first few growing seasons to establish an extensive root system; once established, this is a low-water use tree.
